Tenuate is a very short-term medication which should be taken only for a span period of 30 to 45 days. Tenuate should be swallowed with a glass full of water. Crushing or chewing of pill can bring deformity in matrix of its chemical compound. Hence crushing and chewing of Tenuate are strictly prohibited as it may cause some harmful side effects. If you have skipped a dose or two; don't try to compensate it with over dosages. Overdose in any case must be avoided as these can generate addiction to the drug. After using Tenuate Dospan for a few weeks, there can be a stage when this produces no effect. This is an ideal time to discontinue its use.
