South Beach Diet: The Real Deal For Weight Loss?

By: Matt Murren

There have been plenty of discussions going on whether or not the South Beach diet is indeed good for everyone. However, one thing is for sure, that anyone who wishes to be fit and stay on a long-term fitness routine, the South Beach Diet is welcoming enough. It is something that is easily accessible and managed by all. There are no severe hassles of counting calories and restricting portion size.

The Atkins diet propagates the consumption of too much protein, which cannot be the end solution to long-term health. The South Beach or the zone only restrict the unnecessary carbohydrates and fats making it not much of a challenge. Besides, it effectually shows that the good fats and carbs are necessary for the body. Nevertheless, anything more than that is likely to get transformed in the form of a flabbier body and unnecessary bulk.

Even so, whatever diet form you may choose to have a fitness regimen that is effective enough will only enable you to see that great body you wish to flaunt for yourself. Without a proper fitness system, you will not be able to tone up the muscle bulk. You will not feel lean enough and reshape your flaccid muscle without a good deal of aerobics as well as at least thrice per week of strength training. Any aerobics activity that takes you around thirty minutes to complete is good enough. Aerobics must be done daily followed by Pilates or Yoga for at least 20 minutes. This way your muscles will get toned and lengthened. Your major goal should be not just losing weight in a hurry but also reshape your body. Strength training at least thrice a week will burn excess fat to help build muscle. Your muscles will feel tighter, and you will feel more confident with your overall body image.

The low-carb eating plan will curb your unnecessary hunger, lower your triglyceride levels, blood sugar responses, gives you a more toned and defined look. It will also lower your HDL and blood pressure among other positive effects.

When you eat the food within the list you are more or less going the right way. Only the limited fat responses are what you should be concerned with. However, whether such a diet is effective for all and sundry is a debatable question. While some people will respond well on a low-carb and low-fat regimen some will be less receptive to it. It will all be up to one's body reception after all. Most fitness experts will say that one has to try on the various responses to one's body before getting to find the one that suits oneself best.

Overall, the feedback to South Beach Diet has been very popular and because of its easy adaptability and easiness to follow, it has been embraced by people from varying cultures, professions and age groups.
